(insert diamond-themed pun here)

So Former Fearless Leader lent me her Radar Diamond wheels.  (She had foot surgery last week and is off-skates for a little bit.)  She warned me that they were pretty old and worn down, but I was more interested in the whole aluminum hub thing.

They.  Are.  AWESOME.

Holy crow they are fabulous.  It took a while to get used to them (after a few laps my feet were killing me, and the my calves were a little stiff this AM), but they were soooo nice.  I felt stiff and stable and felt like I reacted quicker and all that.  I am gonna have to buy me a pair.  She said that ECE has lots of vendors there, so I might wait until then, but that's at the end of June two whole months away I DON'T WANNA WAIT THAT LONG.

Last night was scrimmage night.  The A team from last year is having a private scrimmage on Saturday as part of our league's WFTDA application, so they needed to practice against the rest of the league. Which is kind of annoying, since they're the best players and we're, well, not, but what're y'gonna do.

I hurt my foot a little when trying to take out Captainness Awesome on a hit, and everyone was like OMG TAKE YOUR SKATE OFF AND ELEVATE YOUR FOOT AND LET ME GET YOU SOME ICE.  I appreciated the concern, even if it was a little unwarranted.
